To develop a personal presentation style that best suits each
individual participant.
To overcome initial public speaking nerves through the preparation
of a logical structure for the ideas to be presented. To learn to
plan to talk to a time limit - and how to keep to it.
To encourage body language while speaking that radiates confidence
and a sense of purpose. Helping with the special needs of those
delegates who will not be speaking in their mother-tongue or presenting
to audiences in a language other than their own.
To give each delegate four opportunities to practice professional/
social presentations: to inform, to persuade, to mark an occasion,
and to answer questions. Using videos of the Public Speaking and
Prestentation skills workshop and group discussion to help improve
voice, clarity of speaking and non-verbal signals.
Skills with visual aids. To enable presenters to select and design
visual aids for their presentations which create interest, help
understanding and make the spoken message more memorable.
